Wrights Hardware was first formed in the 1940s by the late Basil Wright.
A formidable retailer of hardware products, though servicing mainly trade customers, it gained the
fervent attention of the general community by its unique offering of innovative products – a function of the
frequent international sourcing trips – and exceptional customer service.
Wrights Hardware was sold in 1988, to the group now know as Bunnings, but was reborn in September, 2005 under
the Directorship of Damione Wright, Grandson of Basil.
Today, the company's focus and commitment is on sourcing and distributing world leading brands. It has warehouse
facilities on the East and West Coast of Australia and a team of more than 50 merchandising personnel who provide
representation in every corner of Australia. The company also employs the very latest in technology to ensure it leads
the way in product procurement and customer service.
Among the numerous awards and recognition received, Wrights Hardware is the three time winner of the National Hardware Industry
Association award of ‘Hardware of the Year’.
